Sterlite Electric Limited (formerly known as Sterlite Power Transmission Limited) is a leading global manufacturer of capital goods in the cable and conductor industry, serving customers in over 70 countries. The company specializes in the design, manufacture, and supply of high-performance power conductors, Extra-High Voltage (EHV), High Voltage (HV), and Medium Voltage (MV) power cables, and Optical Ground Wire (OPGW). It has four manufacturing facilities with an annual production capacity of 150,000+ MT for conductors and 3,000+ km for power cables. Sterlite Electric also provides specialized EPC (Engineering, Procurement & Construction) services for upgrading, uprating, and fiberizing existing transmission infrastructure, with expertise in navigating 120 critical urban corridors. In FY25, the company reported revenue of ₹4,763 crore, maintained a Return on Capital Employed (ROCE) of 20%+, and held an order book of ₹6,675 crore. The company was created following the demerger of Sterlite Power Transmission Limited (SPTL) into two distinct entities: Sterlite Electric (retaining the global products and specialized EPC/services business) and Resonia (formerly holding the power transmission infrastructure BOT projects in India and Brazil). Sterlite Electric is also the sponsor of IndiGrid, India's first power sector Infrastructure Investment Trust (InvIT), listed on BSE and NSE.
